Beribu IT Sdn Bhd (BIT) is a company set up by three Malaysian friends in June 1997.  The company was set up as a Telecommunications and Information Solutions provider to meet the challenges and opportunities of the digital world.  The Executive Chairman of BIT is Rohana Tan Sri Mahmood and the other company directors are Teo Chiang Quan and Sandra Wong.

With a paid up capital of RM200,000 BIT managed to do sales turnover of RM900,000 for the year ended 1998.  Some of the services that BIT provides are System Consultation, System Development, System Implementation and System Integration.  BIT also provides the expertise for presenting seminars with regard to Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) and the news around it.

In 1998 we were chosen as an ISDN Programme Partner of Telekom Malaysia.  This partnership was formed to provide a vendor-provider team that would penetrate the ISDN market, in Malaysia, with solutions and services.  This partnership programme had been so successful that we were again chosen in 1999 to do the same.

Since BIT was started as a small company in Malaysia, a decision was made to go with a big distributor to help establish a strong presence in the Malaysian market.  In June 1998, Sapura Marketing Sdn Bhd a leading telecommunications and information technology outfit was appointed as our distributor.
